Jamon graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Health Sciences and Masters of Physiotherapy Practice before completing a postgraduate Masters in Exercise Science (Strength & Conditioning) at Edith Cowan University. He has held several academic positions at La Trobe University, including Lecturer in the Department of Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Prosthetics and Orthotics, Lecturer in the Department of Microbiology, Anatomy, Physiology & Pharmacology, and Research Officer within the La Trobe Sport and Exercise Medicine Research Centre. Jamon's research interest primarily lie within the advancement of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) rehabilitation protocols. He is currently completing his PhD in the prevention and management of early knee osteoarthritis in young adults following ACL injury and reconstruction.

During his time at La Trobe University, Jamon has taught, coordinated and developed curriculum within numerous musculoskeletal subjects across the Physiotherapy, Exercise Science, Biomedicine and Health Science degrees. He has also acted as the 1st and 2nd Year Coordinator for the Physiotherapy UG degree. Jamon has facilitated the KOBE Physiotherapy student program at La Trobe University for several years, an initiative designed to allow visiting Japanese physiotherapy students to gain an experience and understanding of the profession and tertiary education within Australia. Jamon has been invited to present at Australian Physiotherapy Association events, most recently on the topics of 'Strength & Conditioning in Private Practice' and 'Career Pathways for New-graduate Physiotherapists'.

Jamon was employed as a Senior Physiotherapist within a large private practice in Melbourne's north. In this role he has acted as primary supervisor for physiotherapy students from La Trobe University, Monash University, Australian Catholic University, and Melbourne University. Jamon has also been employed as an Educator at Exercise Research Australia, Sessional Academic at Swinburne University of Technology, and Rehabilitation Coordinator for the Essendon Football Club (VFL).
