Toyota Posts 3.8 Percent Increase in October Global Production

(MENAFN) Toyota Motor Corp. reported on Thursday that its global vehicle production rose 3.8 percent in October, reaching 926,987 units compared with the same month last year. This marks the fifth consecutive month of production growth for the Japanese automaker.

Overseas output increased 2.2 percent to 600,155 vehicles, with production in the United States showing particularly strong growth, jumping 26.4 percent to 137,262 units, Toyota said, highlighting the continued resilience of its North American operations.

Domestic production in Japan also showed a notable recovery, climbing 6.8 percent to 326,832 vehicles. The company attributed this increase in part to a rebound following a certification scandal that affected production in 2024, according to the Japanese automaker.

Toyota’s worldwide sales continued to expand, rising 2.1 percent to 922,087 units in October. The company emphasized that this represents its 10th consecutive month of monthly sales gains, underscoring a sustained global demand for its vehicles.
