GCC Ministerial Cmte Approves Gulf Cybersecurity Strategy Executive Plan '24-28


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Sept 8 (KUNA) -- The GCC Ministerial Committee for Cybersecurity adopted on Monday here in Kuwait, the executive plan for the Gulf Cybersecurity Strategy (2024-2028), along with the approval of the framework for international cooperation among GCC countries in this vital field.
A statement by the GCC General Secretariat said that the meeting's outcomes included important decisions to enhance Gulf cooperation in the field of cybersecurity, such as regulating the information-sharing governance mechanism for the Cyber Threat Information Sharing Platform, which contributes to raising the level of preparedness and addressing cyber risks.
The statement added that the meeting outcomes also included the launch of the GCC Cybersecurity Podcast, in cooperation with the Information Security Association (Hemaya), with the aim of raising community awareness of the importance of cybersecurity. (end)
