Southern Military Zone Foils Drone Drug Smuggling Attempt

Amman, Sept. 8 (Petra)-- Southern Military Zone troops on Monday foiled an attempt to smuggle in a quantity of narcotics, using a drone on its western front within its area of responsibility.
The operation was carried out in coordination with security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department, where rules of engagement were applied after the drone was spotted, shooting it down inside Jordanian territory.
The materials seized were handed over to competent authorities.
