Gaza Starves: Israeli Blockade Kills Six More Palestinians

(MENAFN) Gaza, the Health Ministry reported on Monday, has seen six more Palestinian deaths due to extreme starvation and malnutrition in the past 24 hours, including two children.

This grim update brings the total number of famine-related fatalities since October 2023 to 393, with 140 of the victims being minors, according to the ministry’s statement.

The ministry also highlighted that 115 of the deaths, including 25 children, have occurred since the United Nations-backed Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) officially declared Gaza a famine zone last month.

Since the onset of Israel’s military offensive in Gaza in October 2023, over 64,300 Palestinians have lost their lives, as the siege and airstrikes continue to devastate the region.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants last November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, charging them with war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

In addition, Israel is facing accusations of genocide at the International Court of Justice in connection to its ongoing actions against Gaza.
