Gaza Bleeds: Israeli Atrocities Kill at Least 43 More Palestinians

(MENAFN) At least 43 Palestinians, predominantly displaced families and children, were killed in a wave of Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip on Sunday, medical officials confirmed.

Civil defense teams recovered the bodies of 10 Palestinians from the rubble following Israeli strikes that began early Sunday across Gaza.

Local medical workers told media that four people, among them two children, died and numerous others were wounded when Israeli warplanes bombed tents sheltering displaced families in the al-Rimal neighborhood of western Gaza City.

Four more Palestinians were killed and several injured in an airstrike targeting a residential apartment in the al-Ghazali building located in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood of northern Gaza City, sources added.

Additionally, Israeli forces shelled a home in the same area, resulting in three fatalities.

In a separate attack, Israeli aircraft struck the al-Farabi School near al-Yarmouk Stadium in Gaza City, where displaced civilians were seeking refuge. The strike killed eight Palestinians and wounded others.

Five more Palestinians, including a woman, were killed in an Israeli strike on the Al-Daraj neighborhood of Gaza City.

Witnesses told media that Israeli forces demolished a mosque and an Al Jazeera club building sheltering thousands of displaced people in Gaza City.

Israeli military operations in Gaza City have intensified sharply in recent days, repeatedly reducing residential towers to rubble as Tel Aviv advances its heavily criticized plan to occupy the entire city.

On Sunday, Israeli warplanes destroyed the seven-story Al-Ruya building in western Gaza City, which housed over 30 apartments.

In central Gaza, a Palestinian child was killed when Israeli forces struck a historic mosque in Deir al-Balah.

The Israeli army also targeted a civilian gathering at the Nuseirat refugee camp, killing five people, including a young girl, and injuring 15 others, according to a statement from Al-Awdah Hospital.

Israeli drones killed another civilian in Qarara, Khan Younis, in southern Gaza.

Two more Palestinians were killed when Israeli strikes hit a tent sheltering displaced families in the city.

The ongoing Israeli military campaign in Gaza has resulted in nearly 64,400 Palestinian deaths since October 2023, devastating the enclave which is now on the brink of famine.

Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel is also facing a genocide case at the International Court of Justice related to its military operations on the Gaza Strip.
