Yvette Cooper Becomes New UK Foreign Minister, Lammy Deputy PM: Govt
London: UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer appointed David Lammy as his new deputy prime minister on Friday following the resignation of Angela Rayner for breaching the ministerial code, Downing Street announced.
Yvette Cooper will succeed Lammy as foreign minister, with Shabana Mahmood replacing Cooper at the interior ministry, Starmer's office announced as the PM carried out a major reshuffle of his top team.
