Amman, Sep. 2 (Petra) -- The National Cybersecurity Center has officially launched the executive program to implement Jordan's National Cybersecurity Framework at the Civil Consumer Corporation (CCC), as part of a nationwide initiative targeting 100 public and private institutions throughout 2025.
The rollout began with a coordination meeting at the corporation's headquarters, chaired by Acting Director General Engineer Issam Al-Jarrah, and attended by directors of key departments including finance, commerce, warehouses, human resources and institutional development, information technology, and internal audit, alongside a specialized team from the National Cybersecurity Center.
During the meeting, participants reviewed the framework's technical standards and discussed the requirements for its implementation within public institutions. The initiative aims to boost cybersecurity readiness and enhance the CCC's ability to counter evolving digital threats.
Al-Jarrah highlighted that applying the framework underscores the corporation's commitment to strengthening its digital infrastructure and safeguarding sensitive data, particularly information related to the strategic stockpile of food and consumer goods. He added that the program is a key step in driving secure digital transformation, creating a modern and resilient work environment that improves the quality and efficiency of services delivered to citizens.
Officials at the meeting stressed the importance of this initiative in supporting the corporation's broader cybersecurity strategy. They noted that the collaboration with the National Cybersecurity Center reflects the government's vision for public sector modernization, secure digital transformation, enhanced data protection, and heightened institutional preparedness to confront a wide range of cyber risks.
The National Cybersecurity Framework seeks to build institutional capabilities, improve resilience against cyberattacks, and raise the maturity level of cybersecurity practices. The framework is part of Jordan's ongoing efforts to achieve sustainable national digital security across all state institutions.
