Gaza: 88 Martyred, 421 Injured In Israeli Occupation Attacks

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RAMALLAH, Aug 31 (KUNA) -- At least 88 Palestinians were martyred and 421 others wounded due to the ongoing Israeli occupation atrocities in Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, local health authorities said on Sunday.
The overall number of casualties in the Strip since October 7, 2023, has surged to 63,459 martyrs and 160,256 injuries, health authorities said in a statement.
The victims of Israeli occupation attacks on food aid seekers rose by 30 martyrs and 166 wounded to a total of 2,248 and 16,600 respectively in the past 24 hours, the statement added.
Meanwhile, hospitals across the Strip reported seven more deaths, from acute hunger and malnutrition, which raised the death toll from famine to 339, including 124 children.
Health authorities also reported that a severe wave of influenza is striking children in Gaza, causing overcrowding in hospitals. (end)
