In Kyiv, Death Toll Rises To 18, With Damage From Russian Strike Affecting All City Districts

“Rescuers have removed another body. Thus, the death toll from Russia's actions stands at 18,” he said.

According to Tkachenko, the consequences of the Russian attack have been recorded in 33 locations across the city, with rescuers involved in 18 of them.

“33 locations suffered consequences, with rescuers involved in 18 of them. We have a negative record: damage is in all areas of the city,” Tkachenko wrote .

He noted that the urgent provision of assistance to people, both in terms of restoring documents and applying for aid, remains a difficult issue. He noted that in the Holosiivskyi district alone, up to 80 houses have been damaged.

“The task has now been set for the reserve to issue funds immediately. And we will send additional resources to help,” wrote the Head of the Kyiv City Military Administration.

In addition, Tkachenko noted that a mobile branch of the State Migration Service - passport service is working in“areas with significant damage.” A mobile service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is also operating.

“We need to restore gas supply in several locations. Kyivgaz public company is working on this. There are localized power outages. Specialists are working and will be able to connect everything as soon as the rescuers complete their work,” added the Head of the Kyiv City Military Administration.

As reported by Ukrinform, on the night of August 28, the Russian army launched a combined strike on Kyiv, resulting in a series of explosions. Significant damage was reported in the Shevchenkivskyi, Holosiivskyi, Darnytskyi, Dniprovskyi, and Desnianskyi districts.

There were reports of 17 fatalities, four of whom were children.
