ASE Closes Slightly Lower At JD 7.4 Million Turnover

Amman, Aug. 26 (Petra) -- The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) recorded a trading value of JD 7.4 million on Tuesday, with 3.9 million shares traded through 2,648 contracts.
The general price index closed at 2,959 points, down by 0.03 percent compared with the previous session.
Out of 96 listed companies that traded today, 36 posted gains, 25 saw declines, and the rest remained unchanged.
At the sector level, the services index rose by 0.25 percent, while the industrial index dropped by 0.12 percent and the financial index slipped by 0.06 percent.
