Budgam Win Provincial Level Taekwondo Championship For Boys


(MENAFN- Kashmir Observer) Budgam- The Inter District Provincial Level Taekwondo Championship for boys across all age groups concluded on Monday at Samagra Hostel, Narbal. The event witnessed participation from various districts, showcasing discipline, sportsmanship and remarkable talent in the field of Taekwondo.

In the final standings, Budgam district emerged as the overall champion, securing the first position, followed by Srinagar in second place, while Baramulla claimed the third spot.

A presentation ceremony was held in honour of the position holders, where medals and certificates were distributed among the winners. The ceremony was attended by Ghulam Hassan Khanday (Activity Incharge DYSSO Budgam), Manjeet Singh Gill (Senior PEM), Mohd Ayoub Khan (Senior PEM) and Bashir Ahmad Sheikh (Senior PEM), along with other field officials who appreciated the efforts of the young athletes and encouraged them to continue excelling in sports.

The Department of Youth Services and Sports Budgam, under the directions of District Youth Services and Sports Officer Ghulam Hassan Lone, successfully organised the event, ensuring smooth conduct and active participation.
