Associate Professor Shannon Bosch obtained her PhD in the field of International Humanitarian law and obtained her LLM in international law at Cambridge University (UK). Her research focusses on international law and international humanitarian law, and she has devoted much thought to issues affecting the private military and security industry. She has supervised and co-supervised over 40 masters and PhD students, across a wide range of topics. She sits on the editorial board of the African Yearbook of International Humanitarian law. Shannon has been in academic for over 20 years at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal in South Africa. Shannon is an admitted attorney. Shannon was appointed as an associate professor at Edith Cowan University in Perth in 2024.
