
Oman: Moon Not Sighted Prophet's Birthday To Fall On September 5
Oman authorities confirmed that the moon was not sighted on August 23 evening.
This means that tomorrow will mark the last day of the month of Safar. Accordingly, Rabi' al-Awwal will begin on August 25.

Earlier, Kuwait declared that its ministries and government entities would be on leave on Thursday, September 4 for the occasion.
Islamic months last either 29 or 30 days, lasting on the sighting of the crescent moon. On the 29th of every month, the moon sighting committee convenes to observe the crescent and declare the commencement of the next Islamic month.
