Israeli settlers try to illegally seize new Palestinian lands

(MENAFN) A group of young Israeli settlers reportedly tried to establish a new settlement in the Quneitra governorate, located within the disengagement zone of the occupied Golan Heights, according to reports.

Footage shared on social media shows the settlers crossing the security fence into the Syrian-controlled Golan Heights and entering the village of Bir Ajam in Quneitra. The videos capture them pouring concrete into wooden molds that they had brought on-site. One frame reveals the intended name of the settlement: “Neve Habashan.”

Since the fall of Syria’s Ba’ath regime, Israel has conducted operations across several Syrian provinces. At the same time, it has set up military bases and outposts both inside and outside the 1974 disengagement zone in Quneitra, where it continues to carry out regular patrols.
