40 Thousand Palestinians Carry Out Friday Prayers In Al Aqsa Mosque
Occupied Al Quds: Tens of thousands of Palestinians performed Friday prayers in the courtyards of the blessed Al Aqsa Mosque.
The Islamic Waqf Department in Jerusalem estimated that around 40,000 worshippers attended the prayers at Al Aqsa, amid heightened Israeli military restrictions.
It is worth noting that since the start of the Israeli assault on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including Jerusalem, in October 2023, the occupation forces have tightened measures at the gates of Al Aqsa Mosque and the entrances to the Old City of Jerusalem.
The occupation authorities deliberately prevent thousands of residents from West Bank governorates from reaching Jerusalem to pray at Al Aqsa, requiring them to obtain special permits to cross military checkpoints surrounding the holy city.
