CYRIN Architecture Technology Corporation

Students will learn a little bit about historical cryptographic techniques while they progress to modern digital cryptography. They will get hands on experience with symmetric and asymmetric key cryptographic systems. The lab also covers steganography, where messages are hidden in seemingly innocuous images, video, audio or text files. The use of cryptographic techniques in blockchains, for securing passwords, and for ensuring the integrity of data is also explored.

Students should have a basic understanding of Linux and the Linux command line and Getting Started with CYRIN lab is recommended. Like all our new labs, this is mapped to the NIST NICE Framework, the MITRE ATT&CK Matrix and appropriate NSA CAE-CD and CAE-CO Knowledge Units .
