(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency)
Amman, Aug. 14 (Petra) -- Jordan's digital economy, telecommunications, postal, and cybersecurity sectors registered 10 key achievements in July, according to the latest government performance report issued by the Ministry of Government Communication.
Among the highlights, the Ministry launched the Identifier Numbers Platform to unify codes across government entities, strengthening digital integration. The platform is a core element of Jordan's national digital infrastructure, designed to cut duplication and errors in data entry and improve the efficiency of government services amid the rapid growth of digital offerings.
In the health sector, the Digital Health Center was inaugurated in Salt under the National Council for Future Technology. The facility aims to elevate medical service quality and marks a strategic milestone in the digital transformation of healthcare, supporting the Economic Modernization Vision.
The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) hosted a high-level Syrian delegation, led by the Minister of Communications and Technology, to showcase Jordan's regulatory expertise, exchange best practices, and explore investment opportunities for Jordan's private sector. The TRC also led Jordan's delegation at the 2025 World Summit on the Information Society Forum in Geneva, where it participated in multiple specialized sessions as an official speaker.
On the international front, Jordan signed memoranda of understanding with the Réseaux IP Européens Network Coordination Centre (RIPE NCC) to strengthen internet infrastructure stability and security, and with Romania's National Authority for Management and Regulation in Communications to advance digital infrastructure, promote inclusion, and share technical expertise in support of the digital economy.
The TRC also published its statistical report for the first quarter of 2025, detailing performance across communication services.
In cybersecurity, the National Cybersecurity Center launched training for the third cohort of its Masar-Path field program, released its 2024 annual report, and initiated the Cyber Dialogues Project.
Meanwhile, Jordan Post Company began offering all Jordan Medical Council services through its nationwide network of offices, expanding accessibility for citizens and residents alike.
