Dubai Customs Seize Over 6 Million Fake Cigarettes In 35-Tonne Bust
Dubai Customs has seized over 35 tonnes of counterfeit, smuggled, and non-compliant goods over the course of three months since the start of 2025.
In a tweet on Tuesday, Dubai Customs said that this was the "largest operation of its kind since the start of 2025" and took place across the air cargo centres of the city.
Recommended For YouThe authority, in the campaign, recorded more than 12 million smuggled cigarettes, 6.7 million counterfeit cigarettes, 37,110 cosmetics that do not conform to terms and conditions, 3,632 undeclared electronic parts and 10,520 counterfeit items of international brands.

In 2024, Dubai Customs recorded 54 seizures involving 10.8 million counterfeit items , as part of its efforts to protect intellectual property rights.
This campaign is part of the authority's continuous efforts to safeguard the nation's borders, combat all forms of smuggling and commercial fraud, and protect the health, safety, and economic interests of the community.
