Qatar Participates In Arab League Emergency Meeting To Address Israel's Decision To Reoccupy Gaza Completely

Cairo: The State of Qatar participated in the Arab League Council extraordinary session at the level of permanent delegates, held Sunday at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League in Cairo.

The session discussed mechanisms for Arab and international action to halt the genocide committed by Israel, the occupying power, against the Palestinian people. This included the decisions and plans it intends to implement to impose full military control over the Gaza Strip, consolidate its illegal occupation, and implement the plan for the forced displacement of the Palestinian people.

Deputy Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the Arab League Maryam Ahmed Al Shibi led the State of Qatar's delegation at the session.

The council's extraordinary session was convened at the request of the State of Palestine, in light of the continued crimes of aggression, genocide, and ethnic cleansing committed by Israel, the occupying power, against the Palestinian people. The Israeli occupation government has announced its intention to reoccupy the Gaza Strip and fully control it, resulting in forced displacement and the commission of many heinous massacres. This is a continuation of the crimes of aggression, genocide, and ethnic cleansing committed over the past 673 consecutive days, including the imposition of a deadly siege and the use of a systematic policy of starvation as a weapon of genocide.
