KANSAS CITY, MO – H&R Block has appointed Brandy King as vice president of corporate communications, one of several recent leadership changes at the company.
King now oversees field and internal communications, media relations, corporate reputation, executive visibility, storytelling, and crisis management.
King succeeds Teri Daley, who left the company in April after less than two years in the role. She reports to chief marketing and experience Officer Jill Cress.
King joins H&R Block from Southwest Airlines, where she spent nearly 20 years in a range of senior communications roles. Her responsibilities there included internal and external communications, executive visibility, and serving as a media spokesperson during periods of organizational change.
“We are excited to welcome Brandy King to our leadership team,” said Cress.“Her experience developing and executing communications strategies will help support our ongoing efforts to strengthen the H&R Block brand and build stakeholder trust.”
