Russia announces capturing another village in Ukraine
(MENAFN) On Saturday, Russia announced that its forces had seized control of the village of Aleksandro-Kalinove in Ukraine’s eastern Donetsk region. According to a statement from the Russian Defense Ministry, the takeover was conducted by units of the Yig (South) group of forces.
The ministry also reported that Ukrainian forces launched drone attacks in response, with Russian defenses intercepting and jamming 338 drones overnight.
Ukraine has not yet commented on Russia’s claim, and independent verification remains difficult due to the ongoing conflict.
