Ukrainian Forces Eliminate Russian Troops Attempting To Plant Flag In Dnipropetrovsk Region

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, the 31st Mechanized Brigade reported this on Facebook and published a video.

The enemy continues its attempts to enter the Dnipropetrovsk region within the area of responsibility of the 31st Brigade.

"Recently, social media circulated information claiming that the occupiers had crossed the administrative border between the Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions. The trigger was a video posted on July 26 on the social media platform X, showing servicemen of the 336th Naval Infantry Brigade of the Russian Navy laying out their flag in Maliivka. This prompted claims that Russian forces had captured (or, as enemy propaganda put it, 'liberated') the village. However, just a few hours later, they were eliminated by units of the 31st Brigade and adjacent forces," the brigade said.

The brigade emphasized that the enemy's offensive attempt had "collapsed," and that Maliivka remains under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

"The video contains footage from the enemy's propaganda clip, the locations where the occupiers displayed their flag, combat operations by the 31st Brigade in Maliivka, and infantry soldiers of the brigade raising their own unit's flag in the village," the statement added.

Despite ongoing provocations by Russian forces in the Novopavlivka sector, all attempts to cross the administrative border between the Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions have so far failed.
