Ministry, Qatar Doctors Association Sign Mou
(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The Ministry of Sports and Youth has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Qatar Doctors Association to promote health awareness among young people.
The agreement aims to enhance co-operation between the two parties in implementing educational programmes and initiatives in the areas of mental health, proper nutrition, physical activity, and community health, contributing to building a health-conscious generation capable of effectively contributing to national development.
Under the agreement, awareness workshops and seminars will be organised, educational content will be developed for youth, and youth initiatives in the health sector will be supported, in line with Qatar's National Youth Policy.
The partnership reflects both sides' commitment to promoting public health among young people and providing a supportive environment that enables them to make informed health decisions, contributing to building a healthier and more sustainable society.
The director of the ministry's Youth Affairs Department, Fawaz Abdullah al-Musaifri, said that the ministry believes that empowering youth health-wise is a direct investment in the nation's future, and reflects its commitment to achieving Qatar National Vision 2030 and the ministry's strategic objectives through qualitative partnerships with civil society organisations such as the Qatar Doctors Association.
Qatar Doctors Association chairman Dr Mishal al-Musaifri affirmed the association's commitment to harnessing its expertise and medical staff to support such initiatives, by providing scientific educational content and organising quality awareness programmes in line with the highest professional and knowledge standards.
