Türkiye Set to Debut Tuwek Anti-Drone System
(MENAFN) Turkish defense firm Bay Galata is set to debut its advanced anti-drone weapon, dubbed Tuwek, alongside a new line of specialized munitions known as Drone-Seeker, during this week's International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF 2025) in Istanbul, the company announced.
Tuwek is engineered as a multi-barrel launcher capable of delivering direct-impact, or “hard kill,” responses to a variety of UAV threats, including mini, micro, and drone swarm formations. The system can function independently or be integrated into Bay Galata’s broader TUZOQ counter-drone architecture. According to the company, each barrel can discharge up to three rounds per minute, targeting threats at a range of 300 meters (984 feet) or more.
Built for rapid deployment in high-risk drone engagement zones, Tuwek is adaptable to both stationary and mobile operations. It incorporates radar-assisted targeting to improve accuracy and support long-distance threat neutralization.
The complementary Drone-Seeker ammunition comes in three different versions tailored for infantry applications as well as medium- and long-range delivery systems. Each round is packed with 400 to 600 pellets, and features configurable fuses that enable users to adjust dispersion, lethality radius, and effective range.
The munitions are designed to work with 37 to 38-millimeter caliber barrels and can be fitted to 40-mm systems using optional accessories, the company added.
Both Tuwek and Drone-Seeker will be featured throughout the six-day IDEF 2025 expo, one of Türkiye’s premier defense industry showcases, which opens Tuesday.
