Russia’s bus accident claims life of fourteen people, harming others


(MENAFN) Fourteen people lost their lives and seven others were injured early Monday when a shift bus plunged off a cliff in the Republic of Sakha, local authorities reported.

The incident happened around 3:20 a.m. local time on a road managed by the Denisovsky Mining and Processing Plant. The bus, carrying more than 30 passengers, went off the road and fell approximately 25 meters before overturning.

Preliminary findings suggest the driver was among those killed. Of the injured passengers, two remain in serious condition.

Emergency teams responded swiftly, dispatching 44 personnel and 13 pieces of equipment to manage rescue and recovery operations.
