Tragic Bus Crash in Russia Claims Fourteen Lives


(MENAFN) A devastating bus crash in Russia's Republic of Sakha claimed 14 lives and left seven others injured early Monday morning, according to local officials.

The incident occurred around 3:20 a.m. local time (1820 GMT Sunday) on a roadway managed by the Denisovsky Mining and Processing Plant, as detailed in a statement issued by the regional interior ministry.

Authorities reported that the bus, transporting more than 30 individuals, careened off the road and tumbled roughly 25 meters before overturning.

Initial findings revealed that the driver was among those who died in the accident. Of the seven injured survivors, two are in critical condition.

Emergency crews mobilized quickly, deploying 44 personnel and 13 units of equipment to manage the rescue and recovery efforts.
