OIC Condemns Israeli Occupation Aggression On Syria

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) JEDDAH, July 17 (KUNA) -- The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned on Thursday the Israeli occupation aggression against Syrian territory.
In a statement, OIC reaffirmed its full solidarity with Syria and its people during this critical period, stressing that the occupation interference is a clear violation of international law and UN resolutions.
The statement stressed the need to respect Syria's sovereignty, unity, independence, and territorial integrity, calling the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to end the Israeli occupation attacks, which threatens regional peace.
The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported on Wednesday that Israeli occupation forces carried out airstrikes targeting locations in southern Daraa.
The Syrian Ministry of Health's media office stated that one person was killed and 18 others were injured in strikes on the capital, Damascus. (end)
