Türkiye's Stock Market Opens Thursday with Gains
(MENAFN) Türkiye’s main stock exchange began trading Thursday with a strong start, as the BIST 100 index rose by 0.97%, gaining 99.05 points to open at 10,266.31.
The previous session on Wednesday saw the index advance by 1.69%, closing at 10,167.26. Trading volume reached 104.9 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to approximately $2.62 billion.
By 9:50 a.m. local time (0650GMT), currency markets showed the Turkish lira exchanging at 40.0560 per US dollar, 47.1205 per euro, and 54.6765 per British pound.
Gold prices were recorded at $3,324.40 per ounce, while Brent crude oil was priced at $69.75 per barrel.
