Saudi FM discusses regional developments with Iranian FM
(MENAFN) Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud met with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi in Mecca on Tuesday to discuss regional issues and efforts to strengthen cooperation.
According to the Saudi Foreign Ministry, the two diplomats reviewed the latest regional developments, explored ways to enhance bilateral relations, and emphasized their shared commitment to promoting peace and stability in the region.
Senior officials from both countries were present during the meeting, which took place as part of Araghchi’s official visit to Saudi Arabia.
Previously, a spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry had confirmed that Araghchi would stop in Saudi Arabia on his return from Brazil to engage in talks focused on regional peace and security.
