Strong Wind With Fine Dust Sweeps Qatar, Caution Advised

Doha: Qatar's Meteorology Department has issued an alert today, July 7, 2025, of strong winds carrying fine dust sweeping the country, resulting in low horizontal visibility.
The Department has released yesterday evening, July 6, 2025, a satellite imagery depicting a large dust mass over the northern Arabian Peninsula heading for the country.
The dust was witnessed today early morning, being carried by strong northwesterly winds, resulting in low horizontal visibility of less than 3km in southern Qatar areas.
The Ministry of Interior (MoI) also echoed the alert by issuing an advisory in their official X account to motorists and commuters in the country to stay vigilant and exercise caution.
