J&K Govt Increases Mlas' CDF To ₹4 Crore Per Year
As per an order issued by the Finance Department, the CDF has been enhanced from the existing ₹3 crore to ₹4 crore per MLA. The revised allocation will come into effect from the financial year 2025–26.
The enhancement fulfills a commitment made by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on the floor of the Assembly during discussions on grants for departments under his charge.
In another key decision, the government has also scrapped the earlier guideline requiring MLAs to submit their list of proposed development works-up to the full ₹4 crore annual limit-within the first 90 days of the financial year.
With the amendment, legislators will now be allowed to propose works under the CDF scheme at any point during the financial year, provided they stay within the annual ceiling.
