“A few areas, particularly in the Jammu division, may experience intense showers and heavy rainfall,” he added.
From July 8 to July 10, brief spells of rain are expected at scattered locations across the Union Territory.
The MeT has also issued an advisory warning of flash floods at vulnerable spots, as well as the possibility of landslides, mudslides, and shooting stones in hilly areas.
“A rise in water levels in rivers, streams, and local Nalas, along with waterlogging in some low-lying areas, is expected between July 5 and 7,” the advisory said.
Authorities have urged residents and travelers to remain alert and take necessary precautions, especially in flood-prone and landslide-vulnerable zones.
