Thailand’s Business Sentiment Marks Improvement in June

(MENAFN) Thailand’s business sentiment showed marked improvement in June, bolstered by rebounds in both manufacturing and non-manufacturing sectors, the central bank reported on Tuesday.

The nation’s Business Sentiment Index (BSI) surged to 48.6 last month, up from 46.7 in May, driven by significant gains across various components, particularly production, order volumes, and export performance.

The three-month forward-looking BSI also edged up slightly to 49.5 in June from 49.4 in May, despite a continued dip in manufacturing sentiment caused by the expiration of a U.S. tariff exemption, which has adversely impacted exports.

This data is based on a survey conducted with 701 respondents from large and medium-sized companies.
