Bayern Munich Beat Flamengo, Forge Into FCWC '25 Quarterfinals


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, June 29 (KUNA) -- The German FC Bayern Munich qualified to the quarterfinals of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup (FCWC) after a 4-2 victory over the Brazilian Flamengo in the Round of 16 of the championship.
The game, hosted at Hard Rock Stadium, Miami Gardens, Florida, on Sunday, saw Harry Kane scoring twice for Bayern Munich at minutes nine and 73, Erick Pulgar scoring an own goal (6) and Leon Goretzika capping the game (41).
On the other hand, Gerson Santos and Jorginho scored for Flamengo at minutes 33 and 55, respectively.
The triumphant Bayern are set to face Paris Saint-Germain - the UEFA defending champions, who hammered Inter Miami 4-0 earlier Sunday, in a quarterfinal expected to be very much thrilling. (pickup previous)
