150 Athletes Compete In Ghazni Kung Fu Qualifiers
GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): A Kung Fu selection competition featuring 150 athletes has commenced in southern Ghazni province, an official said on Saturday.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Bilal Mujahid, Head of Olympic, Physical Education and Sports in Ghazni, said that athletes from clubs across the provincial center and all districts are participating in the tournament.
The primary objectives of the competition are to select the top 20 players for the provincial team, promote awareness of Kung Fu as a sport, and foster a supportive environment for athletes.
The event is divided into four age-based categories: children, teenagers, youth, and adults.
Shah Mohammad, one of the participating athletes, told Pajhwok Afghan News:“The Sports Authority should build standard gymnasiums for us and provide opportunities to participate in international competitions.”
