(MENAFN- Gulf Times) His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani received a phone call yesterday from his brother President of the sisterly Republic of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
During the call, the Turkish president affirmed his country's solidarity with Qatar and its strong condemnation of the Iranian attack on Al-Udeid Air Base, which constitutes a flagrant violation of Qatar's sovereignty and airspace, as well as of international law and the United Nations Charter. Erdogan stressed his country's categorical rejection of any aggression that threatens the security and safety of Qatar and undermines the security and stability of the region.
The Turkish president also praised the efforts made by His Highness the Amir in facilitating the ceasefire agreement between Iran and Israel.
For his part, His Highness the Amir expressed his thanks to the Turkish president for his sincere feelings and appreciated solidarity with Qatar and its people.
