Russian Missile Attack Claims Lives in Ukraine
(MENAFN) On Tuesday, Ukraine reported that at least 11 individuals were killed in a Russian missile strike in the Dnipropetrovsk region. "Nine people died in Dnipro as a result of an enemy attack.
Two more were killed by Russians in Samar. Thus, the number of victims of terror in the region has increased to 11," stated Serhiy Lysak, the governor of Dnipropetrovsk, on Telegram.
Lysak further updated that 153 individuals were injured, with 12 of them in serious condition. "Medical assistance has already been provided to 18 children. The youngest patient is only six months old," he noted.
The governor also mentioned that the missile attack caused a fire in Dnipro, damaging a dormitory, a gym, and an administrative building. Additionally, a passenger train was affected.
Ukraine's national railway company, Ukrzaliznytsia, confirmed on Telegram that the train, which was traveling between Odesa and Zaporizhzhia, sustained damage.
However, no fatalities were reported from the train incident.
Russian officials have yet to respond to Ukraine's claims regarding the attack.
