Trump Lauds “Monumental” Precision Strikes on Iran’s Nuclear Sites
(MENAFN) US President Donald Trump characterized the early Sunday air raids on three critical Iranian nuclear locations as “hard and accurate,” applauding the military’s exceptional precision.
In a post on his Truth Social account, Trump stated, "The damage to the Nuclear sites in Iran is said to be 'monumental.' The hits were hard and accurate. Great skill was shown by our military."
The US deployed six massive bunker-buster bombs against the Fordo facility using B-2 stealth bombers, while simultaneously launching numerous submarine-fired cruise missiles targeting the Natanz and Isfahan sites.
Joint Chiefs Chairman, Air Force General Dan Caine, revealed that the operation involved over 125 American aircraft, including stealth bombers, fighter jets, aerial refueling tankers, reconnaissance planes, and a guided missile submarine.
He verified that early damage assessments indicate all three locations suffered “extremely severe” destruction.
According to a US official speaking to a news agency, six American warplanes released a total of twelve 30,000-pound (13,608-kilogram) bunker-buster bombs on the Fordo site. Though the complex was not completely demolished, another senior US official asserted that the strike "severely damaged" the underground facility.
US Vice President JD Vance asserted that the strike effectively dismantled Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
"What we did is we destroyed the Iranian nuclear program. I think we set that program back substantially,” he declared.
