Arab League Urges Pressuring Israeli Occupation To Stop Plundering Palestinian Resources

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, June 18 (KUNA) -- Arab League Secretary General Ahmad Abul-Gheit called Wednesday on the international community to pressure the Israeli occupation to stop the continuous plundering of Palestinian resources with the aim of undermining Palestinian authority and hindering path to independence.
Arab League spokesperson Jamal Rushdie mentioned in a statement that this came during Abul-Gheit's meeting with Palestinian envoy to the league Ambassador Muhannad Aklouk.
The Ambassador handed Abul-Gheit a letter from Palestinian Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Dr. Mohammad Mustafa.
The letter delved into the financial crisis facing Palestinian people due to the occupation's looting of more than two thirds of tax funds and Palestinian customs.
Abul-Gheit stressed that supporting Palestinian authority in these grueling conditions is a duty on all those who can contribute.
He stated that reinforcing the ability of Palestinian authority in countering occupation's measures is an instrumental tool to realizing the Palestinian state and a practical method of supporting Palestinian people. (end)
