Ukraine Developing Drone Interceptors To Counter Shahed Attacks, Zelensky Says
President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this on the sidelines of the G7 Summit in Canada, Ukrinform reports.
“ We're working now to develop and deploy interception drones – to protect our cities from Shaheds. Our cities – and, therefore, yours. And we need additional financing to produce them; the exact numbers will be provided by our team. And this – new interceptors – are important for Europe, for the Indo-Pacific, and for Japan, and Canada, and the United States,” Zelensky said.
As Ukrinform previously reported, Russia launched over 440 drones and 32 missiles across Ukraine overnight on June 17.
So far, 15 fatalities have been confirmed in Kyiv as a result of the strike.
