China Urges Citizens to Evacuate Israel
(MENAFN) China has called on its nationals to leave Israel "as soon as possible," as fighting between Tel Aviv and Iran showed no signs of easing, according to reports from Chinese state outlets on Tuesday.
The Chinese Embassy in Tel Aviv issued a message to Chinese citizens residing in Israel, encouraging them to "leave the country as soon as possible via land border crossings, while ensuring their personal safety," a state-backed newspaper stated.
The embassy also “recommended using Jordan as a priority route,” advising it as the most feasible and secure option for exit.
The region has seen a sharp rise in tensions since Friday, when Israel carried out airstrikes targeting several sites in Iran, including locations tied to military operations and nuclear development.
This led Tehran to respond with its own counterattacks.
According to Israeli officials, Iranian missile attacks have resulted in the deaths of at least 24 individuals and left hundreds more hurt.
Tehran, in contrast, has reported that Israeli assaults have caused the deaths of at least 224 people and injured over 1,000 others.
In response to the unfolding crisis, China has denounced Israel’s military actions against Iran and issued a cautionary statement, warning that nations in the Middle East would be the “first to suffer” if the violence intensifies further.
