GCC Chief, EU High Representative Discuss Middle East Ongoing Developments

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RIYADH, June 17 (KUNA) - The GCC Secretary-General Jassim Al-Budaiwi discussed Tuesday with the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, Kaya Kallas, the developments in the Middle East.
Over a phone call, both sides touched on the regional developments and international efforts to advance the peace process, as well as exchanging views on enhancing regional and international coordination to achieving security and stability, said the General Secretariat in a statement.
The two sides stressed the importance of continuing to support calming efforts to achieve lasting peace in the region and the world. (end)
