SSC Eases Repayment Of Debt For Tourism Facilities
Director of the Legal Affairs and Collections Department at SSC Mohammad Abu Al Hijaa said that the decision was made“in consideration of the conditions faced by tourism establishments, which were negatively affected by the circumstances in the region, impacting tourism activity and the sector's working environment.”
He noted that the SSC took into account the economic challenges of the tourism sector and granted it an additional benefit by allowing applications for instalment payment of debts or rescheduling existing payment agreements until December 31, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Abu Al Hijaa urged establishments to take advantage of the decision before the deadline, especially since this is the first time such a decision has been made in the corporation's history.
In partnership with the Jordan Hotels Association, the SSC held an awareness workshop for liaison officers of indebted hotel and tourism establishments.
The workshop covered how to benefit from the decision to offer debt instalment plans with 0 per cent interest for indebted establishments.
