Abu Dhabi F1 GP: Metallica To Headline After-Race Concerts On December 6

Metallica will headline the after-race concerts at the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on Saturday, December 6.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers will bring their world-renowned catalogue of hits to Etihad Park as part of Yasalam presented by e&, a four-day entertainment program exclusive to Abu Dhabi Grand Prix ticket holders.

Metallica's announcement comes shortly after confirmation that Benson Boone will kick off the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix action on Thursday, December 4 and Katy Perry will close out a thrilling weekend as the Sunday night headliner.

Formed in 1981 by vocalist/guitarist James Hetfield and drummer Lars Ulrich and including guitarist Kirk Hammett and bassist Robert Trujillo, Metallica has become one of the most influential and successful rock bands in history, selling nearly 125 million albums worldwide and generating more than 17 billion streams while playing to millions of fans on all seven continents-more than 1.3 million of whom belong to the band's fiercely loyal and consistently growing Fifth Member fan club.
