
Global Village Closes: Up To 70% Off, Abayas For Dh50 As Stores Offer Clearance Sale
Shoppers have just a few days left to enjoy discounts of up to 70 per cent at Global Village. As Season 29 comes to an end this Sunday, vendors across many pavilions are offering final clearance sales on a wide range of products, from abayas and accessories to footwear and souvenirs.
“I got an abaya for just Dh60. I saw the same one for Dh150 a few weeks ago,” said Fatima Shamser, a resident of Sheikh Zayed Road“That's a saving of around 60 per cent, and the quality is really good. I couldn't resist buying two more.”
Zulekha Samreen, another shopper who came along with her children and extended family members, said that shopping for summer vacation is done.“I bought three pairs of sandals for Dh100 in the India Pavilion. With the discounts , I have bought a lot of gifts for my people back home in Lucknow. I will be visiting them during the summer vacation," said Samreen.

"For instance, for the slippers, I would pay Dh80 for one a few days ago. Now, in total I have spent around Dh550, whereas earlier, these products would have cost me Dh1500 easily."
Samreen said that she will be coming back before Sunday to buy more gifts for her family.
The discounts are currently in many pavilions, and marks the grand shopping finale of the season. From heritage-rich handicrafts to modern accessories and fashion items, every corner of Global Village is buzzing with last-minute shoppers looking to grab bargains. Vendors said that they are slashing prices to clear stock.
“We have had an amazing season,” said Mohammed Ali, who runs a shop in the Syria Pavilion.“To celebrate, we are offering discounts of up to 70 per cent on most items. Shoppers are loving the deals.”
Aisha, a vendor of children's clothing at Turkish Pavillion, said that many of the products are on offer. "We were selling children's dresses for Dh200 earlier, and now, we are selling them at Dh50. Shoppers are loving the sale, and now they purchase in bulk," said Aisha.
Mohsin Khan, from Lucky Leather in the Pakistan Pavilion, said that they are giving most of the items at 50 per cent off.
"Earlier, our jackets were priced at Dh300 per piece and now we have reduced the price to Dh150. Our belts are now available at Dh100 for 3 pieces, which we used to sell for Dh60 a piece," said Khan.
“We have had many repeat customers this week alone. People are coming back for the discounts.”
At the UAE Pavilion, shoppers are taking advantage of the massive discounts on traditional wear. Jalabia and abayas, which were originally priced between Dh150 to Dh200, are now available for as low as Dh50.
Hilal, a vendor at the UAE Pavilion, said that they want to give the best for their customers. "We want to give our shoppers something that they remember us in the next season," said Hilal.
"It's the final days of the season, and we are offering huge discounts to clear our stock. The response has been amazing. These abayas and Jalabias are of great quality, and at Dh50, it's hard to resist," added Hilal.
