Qatar Charity Distributes Udhiyah Offering Through Global Outreach
(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Qatar Charity (QC) implemented the sacrificial meat distribution project as part of its seasonal campaign launched for the month of Dhul-Hijjah 1446 AH (2025) under the slogan 'The Greatest Days', thanks to the generous support of donors in Qatar. In a statement, the QC revealed that the project benefited over 850,000 people across 38 countries, including Qatar.
Meat from around 45,300 sheep and cattle was distributed globally, with a focus on crisis-affected countries and regions such as Gaza, Syria, Sudan, Yemen, and Somalia. In Qatar, the sacrificial meat from 4,000 sheep were distributed to around 30,000 individuals. Outside of Qatar, the meat of nearly 41,300 sacrifices were distributed to approximately 826,000 people in 37 countries across Africa, Asia, and Europe.
Udhiyah distribution took place in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Kosovo, Nepal, Nigeria, Ghana, The Gambia, Palestine, Syria, Tanzania, Niger, Sri Lanka, Senegal, Ethiopia, Indonesia, India, Lebanon, South Africa, Malaysia, Yemen, Chad, Somalia, Burkina Faso, Turkiye, Tunisia, Kyrgyzstan, Mali, Cote d'Ivoire, Jordan, Egypt, Sudan, Kenya, Djibouti, Mauritania, Togo, Benin, and Burundi.
The QC implements the sacrificial Udhiyah project annually, given its importance in embodying the values of solidarity and compassion among Muslims in a practical way. It provides an opportunity for those who are able to share the joy of Eid al-Adha with the needy and deprived, providing them with a generous portion of their income and bringing them joy on this happy occasion. The QC reaffirmed its commitment to implementing projects and campaigns with professionalism and dignity, ensuring donations reach the most vulnerable efficiently and respectfully.
