US senator asks Trump to enforce sanctions on Russia
(MENAFN) On Monday, Chuck Grassley, who is a US Sen. encouraged Leader Donald Trump to enforce sanctions on Russia.
Grassley posted on X, previously known as Twitter "I’ve had enuf of Putin killing innocent ppl. Pres Trump Take action AT LEAST SANCTIONS."
His comments were following Trump intensified disapproval of Russian Leader Vladimir Putin, describing him as “absolutely crazy” and threatening that if he tries to take over all of Ukraine that it “will lead to the downfall of Russia.”
The Kremlin stated on Monday that Trump’s response to the newest Russian attacks on Ukraine is linked to “emotional overload.” In addition, the beginning of discussions happening between Russia and Ukraine is a "very important achievement" and the US has made “great efforts” in this aspect.
The discussions that occurred in Istanbul on 16th of May, which were assisted by Türkiye, ended with both sides approving to an extensive swap of inmates which sums up of 1,000 individuals from both and to resume talks for a ceasefire.
