Apple To Launch Smart Home Device By End Of 2025
Washington: Apple is set to introduce a new, multifunctional smart home device by the end of 2025.
The initial launch, according to Bloomberg, will feature a lower-end version with basic specifications.
A more advanced model, equipped with a robotic arm that enables movement across a desktop surface, is expected to follow within one to two years.
Apple is prioritizing the advanced version's development and may temporarily omit certain features to ensure a timely launch, with plans to add them in future updates.
This new device will compete with other leading smart home products, such as Amazon's Echo series and Google's Nest Hub.
The design is anticipated to blend elements from the HomePod speaker and the iPad, featuring a 7-inch display, a new operating system named "homeOS," and a display interface similar to the "StandBy" mode found on iPhones.
