Oklahoma’s Severe Storms Result in 3 Deaths
(MENAFN) Severe storms that struck central Oklahoma over the weekend claimed the lives of three people, local authorities confirmed on Sunday.
A 12-year-old boy and his mother were found dead in Moore, located about 10 miles south of Oklahoma City, after their vehicle was swept away by floodwaters on Sunday. Moore police stated, "This was a historical weather event that impacted roads and resulted in dozens of high-water incidents across the city."
Additionally, a fatality occurred Saturday night when a tornado struck Spaulding, a small town in Hughes County. The county reported extensive damage, including the destruction of several homes and structures, along with "numerous washouts" on local roads, according to a Facebook post.
